DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) Tucker DeVries' 21 points helped Drake defeat Louisiana-Lafayette 76-64 on Saturday night.
DeVries was 6-of-11 shooting, including 2 for 5 from distance, and went 7 for 7 from the line for the Bulldogs (6-0). D.J. Wilkins scored 21 points while shooting 6 for 14 (5 for 10 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line. Darnell Brodie was 6 of 11 shooting and 3 of 5 from the free-throw line to finish with 15 points, while adding 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs picked up their sixth straight victory.
The Ragin' Cajuns (5-1) were led by Themus Fulks, who posted 16 points and three steals. Greg Williams Jr. added 12 points for Louisiana. In addition, Isaiah Richards had seven points. The Ragin' Cajuns had a five-game winning streak snapped.
