Flyers rally, beat Pens in OT in rain

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Claude Giroux scored 1:59 into overtime and the Philadelphia Flyers scored three straight goals in the rain to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 on a soggy Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Flyers and Penguins took one of the NHL's more heated rivalries outdoors and into prime time as part of the Stadium Series showcase. The rink that stretched from 30-yard line to 30-yard line needed a squeegee more than a Zamboni, but nearly 70,000 fans stuck around the home of the Eagles to watch the Flyers play the marquee game on their schedule.

The Flyers gave them a win to remember.

Stars get F Zuccarello from Rangers

DALLAS (AP) The Dallas Stars have acquired forward Mats Zuccarello from the New York Rangers to bolster their push for a playoff spot.

The Rangers are receiving a conditional second-round draft pick this year and a conditional third-round pick in the 2020 draft in the deal announced Saturday night.

Jackets acquire F Dzingel from Senators

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) The Columbus Blue Jackets continued to load up ahead of the NHL trade deadline by acquiring forward Ryan Dzingel from the Ottawa Senators on Saturday.

Columbus sent winger Anthony Duclair and 2020 and 2021 second-round picks to Ottawa for Dzingel and a 2019 seventh-round pick. It's the second trade in as many days between the teams, after the Blue Jackets got center Matt Duchene from the Senators for a package including a first-round draft pick and prospects.

Blues win SO to end Bruins' 7-game run

ST. LOUIS (AP) Sammy Blais didn't expect his name to be called in the shootout. He was ready when the opportunity came.

Blais scored in the sixth round of the tiebreaker to lift the St. Louis Blues to a 2-1 victory over the Boston Bruins on Saturday.

Bobrovsky blanks Sharks, Duchene scores

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Matt Duchene sparked his new team and Sergei Bobrovsky picked up his second shutout in as many nights as the Columbus Blue Jackets stopped the surging San Jose Sharks.

Duchene tapped in a loose puck early in the second period to get his first goal for the Blue Jackets and added an assist in his second game with the team, and eight other players picked up points in the 4-0 win over the Sharks on Saturday.

Leafs rally from 3 down to defeat Habs

TORONTO (AP) It took two late goals by Zach Hyman and a huge comeback by Toronto to end its longest losing streak of the season.

Hyman scored two goals in the final 1:50 of the third period as the Maple Leafs erased an early 3-0 deficit and beat the Montreal Canadiens 6-3 Saturday night.

Avs beat Preds 5-0 for 4th straight win

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Scrapping for every point, the Colorado Avalanche turned to goalie Philipp Grubauer for their second road game within 24 hours.

Grubauer came through with 38 saves for his first shutout of the season, helping Colorado beat the Nashville Predators 5-0 Saturday for their fourth straight victory.

Reinhart has hat trick, Sabres beat Caps

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) No one was referring to the Buffalo Sabres as being soft on Saturday.

Jeff Skinner remarkably returned a period after a hush fell through the crowd at the sight of Buffalo's leading scorer attempting to crawl off the ice with an injury to his left leg. Sam Reinhart picked up the offensive slack by scoring three times.

Hurricanes' McElhinney shuts out Stars

DALLAS (AP) Barely tested through the first two periods, Curtis McElhinney was unbeatable when the Dallas Stars picked up their intensity in the third.

McElhinney made 14 of his 24 saves in the final period for an easy 10th career shutout, and the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Stars 3-0 on Saturday for their fifth win in six games.

Panthers score 3 in 2nd to rout Kings

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) Florida's Jonathan Huberdeau was at the perfect place at just the right time against the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.

Huberdeau dashed out of the penalty box and scored on a breakaway to help lift the Panthers to a 6-1 win over the Kings, as Florida closed out a seven-game homestand.
